Kenyatta’s passion for music began as a child, absorbing sounds of classic R&B from the backseat of his grandmothers’ car. He entered the local Apollo talent search in New Jersey as a young boy and performed at the world famous Apollo Theater years later as a young man.

Kenyatta has a dynamic voice with a five-octave range. Along with his relaxed groove, he has developed his style into a smooth, soulful and hip sound. His music delivers an emotional message full of charisma and versatility.

Besides playing at the Apollo, Kenyatta won a Budweiser talent showcase and sang with the hit group Boyz II Men. Kenyatta has also appeared at Philadelphia’s own famed Clef Club of Jazz where he received a standing ovation.

Kenyatta is now collaborating with Robert “Don” Barham and Anthony “T- BEATZ” Barham of the National Musick League, both of whom were protégés of the legendary Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff of Philadelphia International Records.

As a rising star, Kenyatta believes it is “important to give people music with some integrity”. As a performer, to “be a good showman”, and feels that “your audience will respond favorably if you give them energy.”
